Products

Our Products

Our own products, from desktop and wearable apps to full-stack web platforms. Each one gives a real picture of how we work. Expand a card for more detail.

Linux desktop

Alcedo

A native GTK4/libadwaita IMAP/SMTP mail client for GNOME.

  • Three-pane mail layout built for the GNOME desktop
  • OAuth sign-in for Google and Microsoft. Yahoo and generic IMAP use app passwords kept in the system keyring
  • Drag messages onto folders to move them, or hold Ctrl to copy (IMAP UID COPY)
  • Registers as the system mailto: handler, with the composer prefilled
More detail

Targets Ubuntu 26.04 / GNOME 50. It ships with an install script for Ubuntu, a desktop entry, and a GSettings schema, and there is a Flatpak development build. A mock mode runs the full UI with fake mail and no network. Spell-checking in the composer uses system dictionaries. Licensed GPL-3.0-or-later.

CourtCall

A tournament command center for tennis directors. It replaces radio, phone, spreadsheets, and group chat with a single weather-aware operations hub.

  • Facility and court inventory, with events that link one or more facilities
  • Tournament and division setup: format, age range, draw size, rest minutes
  • Player entries (single, bulk, doubles partners) and single-elimination draws with seeds and BYEs
  • SmartComm (in design): AI sorts player and guardian messages, and directors confirm anything that changes the tournament
More detail

Development follows a phased roadmap. Facilities, events, tournaments, entries, and draws come first. The schedule and Court Matrix come next, followed by SmartComm messaging. Planned modules include Weather Command and integrations for weather, SMS, and draw sync.

SmartComm is designed with a clear AI boundary. The AI may acknowledge messages, parse late arrivals, and rank pull-up candidates. A director must still confirm court assignments, defaults, and withdrawals. Every message is kept for an audit trail.

Infusion Finance

A Quicken-style personal finance app that runs on your own local network.

  • Accounts, transaction register, budgets, bill reminders, reports, and reconciliation
  • Cash flow forecast with a timeline chart, a planning grid, and what-if items
  • AI receipt scanning and natural-language “Find & Ask” (Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic)
  • Invoicing, plus a timesheet integration API for importing billable time
More detail

Optional bank download through Plaid: bank credentials are entered in Plaid Link, never in the app. Investment prices can be updated through a quotes provider. Core features (accounts, register, budgets, cash flow, reports, invoices) work without any outside API keys. It runs in Docker on any host, including a Raspberry Pi. The layout adapts down to phone size, and receipts can be scanned from a phone.

Wear OS + Android

IntervalTrak

Finish your intervals on the watch, review them in detail on the phone, and have them count toward your health data.

  • Standalone Wear OS app that pairs directly with a Bluetooth LE heart-rate strap and uses GPS for speed. It records without a phone
  • Android companion app with workout history, side-by-side comparisons, heart-rate and speed charts, and export
  • Time-in-zone, plan progress, weekly volume and load trends, and a debrief against the plan's intent
  • Interval plans sync both ways between watch and phone. Writing to Health Connect is opt-in
More detail

Workouts can carry notes, tags, and RPE, and the app shows sync status. With Health Connect enabled, workouts count toward Samsung Health and Google's health data. Built as a Gradle multi-module project with separate watch, phone, and shared core modules.

Officials Manager

Staffing for USTA and UTR tennis tournaments. It replaces spreadsheets, email threads, and group texts.

  • Directory of officials and their credentials, with expiry tracking and filters by agency, credential, tag, and zip radius
  • Bulk invites, plus a public page where officials accept and pick days without logging in
  • Crew availability board, demand planning from draw size, and report-time scheduling
  • Daily check-in tracker that feeds hours, overtime, and travel pay, with payroll CSV export
More detail

Access is role-based for org admins, tournament directors, site referees, officials, and viewers. One account can belong to several organizations. Some modules sit behind feature flags: incidents, announcements and documents, audit history, and compliance. Includes an in-app help companion.

Services

What we can build for your business

Hands-on engineering for small and mid-size teams across Palm Beach County, from Wellington and West Palm Beach to Boca Raton and Jupiter, and for remote clients. We focus on software that solves a specific problem and that your team can actually run.

Training & enablement

Practical sessions that help your team use AI tools well: what they are good at, where they fail, and how to fit them into everyday work safely.

Architecture & security reviews

A second set of eyes on your system design, APIs, and authentication, drawing on enterprise healthcare API and OAuth 2.0 experience.

How we work

Proof first. You pay only if it's worth it.

We build a proof of concept of your idea at no cost and show it to you working. If it's valuable, you make an offer to take it to production. If not, you owe nothing.

  1. Discover

A short conversation about your problem, your current tools, and what success would look like.

  2. Build the POC, free

We build a small, focused proof of concept that tackles the core of the idea. No cost and no commitment.

  3. Present

We show it to you working, walk through what it does, and explain what production would take.

  4. You bid

If it's valuable, you make an offer for the production build. If it isn't, you walk away and owe nothing.

Common questions

Who owns the proof of concept if I don't go ahead?

Generally, the proof of concept and its code stay with Windward Logic unless we agree otherwise in writing. Your own data, documents, and business information always remain yours.

What kinds of projects are a good fit?

Projects with a clear, specific problem, such as automating a manual process, adding AI to documents or customer messages, connecting two systems, or replacing a spreadsheet with a real app. Ideas that can be shown working on a small scale are ideal.

How big is a typical proof of concept?

Small and focused. It shows that the core idea works, usually one main workflow, and it is not a finished product. Polish, scale, hardening, and the extra features come in the production phase if you decide to proceed.

Is there really no cost?

Yes. Building and presenting the proof of concept is free. A production engagement is scoped and agreed separately, only if you choose to make an offer. This page is a general description of how we like to work, not a contract. Specific terms are agreed per project.

Do you build websites?

Yes. Web design and development is one of our core services: websites and full web applications, from marketing pages to line-of-business apps with logins, dashboards, and databases. See web design in Wellington & West Palm Beach.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Wellington and serve businesses across Palm Beach County, including West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Jupiter. We also work with remote clients.

How long does a project take?

It depends on scope, so we don't quote a timeline before we understand the problem. The proof of concept is deliberately small and focused, usually one main workflow. When we present it, we explain what production would take, and the production engagement is scoped and agreed separately.

What does it cost?

It depends on scope. Building and presenting the proof of concept is free. If it's valuable, you make an offer for the production build, which is scoped and agreed separately. If it isn't, you owe nothing.

About

A small studio with enterprise experience

Windward Logic LLC is a software studio in Wellington, in Palm Beach County, Florida, serving businesses across the county. It was founded by Carter St.Clair, a senior software engineer and former solutions architect with more than 30 years of experience building software.

From 2020 to 2025 Carter was at UnitedHealth Group / Optum, first as Delivery Lead / Senior Software Engineer and then as Solutions Architect. He led delivery of the custom OAuth 2.0 / OIDC server that secures UnitedHealth Group’s Patient Access API traffic for outside apps, designed how internal backends connect to Optum’s enterprise FHIR platform, and helped architect CDS Hooks workflows that launch SMART on FHIR apps in Epic from the clinician workflow.

Before that, at WebMD / Staywell (2016 to 2020), he co-developed Krames on FHIR, a SMART on FHIR patient education app for Cerner and Epic.

Today his core stack is .NET, C#, and Vue, along with consulting on LLM features and agentic workflows. He works architecture-first: designs and layer boundaries are written down before AI-assisted coding starts, and every change is reviewed and covered by tests. The goal is simple: build useful software for businesses that don't have their own engineering team.
